We had our first day of school yesterday. It was not a day that will be long remembered for its content, but it was necessary to start, and get that boat moving even if there was no grand launch ceremony.
The quote above reminded me of all that goes into preparing to home-school, because one of the biggest is deciding which texts and other sources to teach from. Many possibilities must be waded through in order to choose a curriculum whose content is superior and worthy of all the hours necessary to teach it and the fine minds who are required to absorb it.
