Screened In Porch

I've noticed that some popular stories have a certain similarity: Monsters Inc. has monsters living in a world very much like ours (cities, cars, television...)just with its very own quirkiness. Dittos for Shrek. *taps side of head in an effort to stimulate brain* Okay, there was another one and now I can't think of it!

Other stories put superbeings into exactly our world: Spiderman, Superman, Fantastic Four, Unbreakable, X Men and Harry Potter.

It seems to me, though, that Harry Potter also overlaps into my first group of stories- it has a quirky parallel world. So does Artemis Fowl.
